Philosophy Row - Oxford vs Cambridge Please use the event's booking form to book yourself a place.
Not this kind of row! A Philosophy Row! Prepare for intellectual fireworks! Oxford and Cambridge - two names that have defined the pursuit of knowledge for centuries - are going head-to-head in a battle of big ideas. On Saturday 30 May 2026, the Oxford Quaker Meeting House plays host to Philosophy Row: Strange Wisdom, a stimulating afternoon of debate, games, slams, and sharp thinking that will have you questioning everything you thought you knew, including whether you've gotten any wiser since you last thought about it. From a lively philosophy game to a no-holds-barred debate on age and wisdom, a Stone Cold Philosophy Slam, and expert talks from Dr Stephen Law and Dr Alex Carter, this is five hours of pure, unapologetic philosophy. Join us from 2:00–7:00 pm. Your brain will thank you (even if your certainties won't).
